I would say the quality is good but not as high as a Maglite. As others have said the beam does not adjust focus. It projects a spot about mid range of what a full size Maglite would. Its about right for general use; not a pinpoint and not a flood. Mine arrived with 2 LEDs burned out and 1 that works intermittently. Out of 95 I don't miss them. Its nice and bright. White light, not yellowish. I took the advice of others and was careful not to open it from the head end due to wires maybe breaking. The batteries jiggle a bit but some electrical tape should quiet it down. No problems with the switch as others have stated. For $19 I would buy another.
